HOUDA HIJAB Malaysia

WINTER BREAK: STRIKE 2.

Ramadhan is here! Alhamdulillah, I am still alive for another year of this holy month. More precious this time around because I will be home with Mr Hubby and Nadira.

Since we were married, both me and Mr Hubby have alternating years of celebrating Eidulfitri at our in laws. This year, the first day of Eid will be at my in laws and the second day will be at my parents. That was the agreement. Somehow, Mr Hubby insists on making new arrangements starting this year on spending more days at his parents instead of just the first day of Eid and the rest at mine. And alternately on coming years. I must admit I was kind upset. But he, as my husband is whom I must obey. Being a good wife is my aim and so I will. Plus, he promised to take us for a holiday after. How smart of him. :) We planned to go to Krabi Island, but it was raining seasons. So we changed to Penang Island instead. One of my favourite places to visits. :)

But yeah, this is marriage. Compromise is important. Lessons learned.

And it was Mr Hubby 31st Birthday. Happy Birthday love. Despite all, you are a great husband and father to me and our child. I pray that we will grow old together. InsyaAllah. :)

WINTER BREAK: STRIKE 1.

Winter break is here. It's kind of nice to be somewhere with warm weather at this time of the year. Plus, Ramadhan month is coming. So my plan for this winter break is to spend it in Malaysia and come back to Australia after Eidulfitri. Yeay! I am going to be home with Mr Hubby and Nadira.

The day after my final exam, Sunday morning to be exact, I am ready to take my flight in the morning. I know that I always says that I have never been anywhere in Melbourne except for transit in the airport. I guess God just have better plans for me. I missed my flight that morning from LST  to MEL. And if you are wondering, yes I did cried at the airport. To make it even worst, I have a connection flight from MEL to KUL on the same day in the afternoon. So I got on to the next flight hoping that I could still catch my flight to KUL. I arrived in Melbourne about 35 minutes before the flight departed but they can not let me in. I was begging her to let me in and still it is a no asnswer. Her refers to the lady I called up straight after I missed my flight, saying I might be late for the KUL flight. So they booked me on the earliest next flight and that is the next day. The next day!! I broke down and cried. Stranded in MEL alone is not cool. Luckily I have friends who is so dear to me and let me stay there for the night. And that was the first time I stepped out of the airport.

After three years of travelling from KUL-MEL-LST, I have never been outside Melbourne airport. How sad is that? I have only imagining it in my mind. I took the bus from the airport to the alienated city. To be honest, Melbourne city it is exactly just like back home in KL. The differences is just the people and weather. Well, we do have a lot of white people in KL. So probably just the weather then. They picked me up at the station and take me around the city, basically try to let my mind off the fact that I JUST MISSED MY FLIGHT! But it does worked as they took me to the shopping mall. How thoughtful! :) I was introduced to new people and they are really really nice. They took me to cool places and I love it.

There I go having a good time in Melbourne city for just one night.

So the next morning I took the train to the bus station and took the bus to the airport. I was early this time. I checked myself in and ready to board, the ground staff said to me, "I'm glad you could make it this time", with a wide smile on his face. Yeah, I would have been cuddling with Nadira by now if you would have let me in yesterday.

But yeah, that is life. Not everything that you have plan will go accordingly. Lessons learned.
